15 June, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. The "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival will be attended by unpretentious stars. This was stated at a press conference by Rodion Bass, General Director of the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre and Director of the Festival Directorate, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
The Festival Director spoke very warmly about the current participants, saying that none of them had made impossible demands on the organisers. This is despite the fact that the current line-up is rich with star names: Lev Leshchenko, Valeria, Irina Allegrova, Vladimir Vinokur, Maxim Dunaevsky, Lolita, Nadezhda Babkina, Alsou. As for internationally renowned foreign performers Chris Norman and Samantha Fox, they are being brought by a German production company. As Rodion Bass noted, this guarantees a minimum of intermediaries and realistically achievable requirements for the artists' stay and performance conditions.
"The stars are unpretentious in terms of their hospitality riders," he said. However, the technical riders will make the Vitebsk sound and lighting engineers sweat. This year's festival features many live performances, and singers are particularly demanding for such performances. For example, Sergey Penkin, performing at the festival for the first time, wants to showcase a maximum of special effects at his concert, disregarding the specifics of the Summer Amphitheatre. However, the organisers have promised to make every effort to help the artist perform with the full brilliance of his talent. -0-
