The culmination of the Conscript Day, held at the RDC, was the presentation of conscription notices to future soldiers. From November 15 to 30, 47 fellow countrymen will leave to perform their term of military service.

The culmination of the Conscript Day, held at the RDC, was the presentation of conscription notices to future soldiers. From November 15 to 30, 47 fellow countrymen will leave to perform their term of military service. Six people will serve in the reserve, four of whom have higher education.
 
"Special" watches, for which a year "flies by" in half, were awarded to Yevgeny Ovsyannikov and Georgy Goncharenko, students of the DOSAAF automobile school, by its director Pavel Lyamtsev. Annually, at the expense of the Ministry of Defence, this school trains drivers of categories "B" and "C" for the border guards and internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The current group consisted of 30 conscripts from Chashniki and Lepel districts, of whom 14 were our fellow countrymen. By the way, candidates are currently being selected at the district military commissariat to master this specialty. Conscripts for February-May 2013 will begin their training on December 10.

Wishes have been expressed, songs have been sung, and finally, the responsible moment arrives: Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Shapka presents the conscription notices to the conscripts.
However, not everyone is eager to serve the motherland.

Failure to appear for conscription events without valid reasons, if it has hindered the adoption and implementation of the decision of the conscription commission on fulfilling military duty, entails a warning or a fine of up to five basic units. Criminal liability for citizens who evade conscription is provided for by Article 435 of the Criminal Code. Evasion of conscription for military service is punishable by a fine, or arrest for up to six months, restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to two years. Intentional self-infliction of bodily harm, simulation of illness, forgery of documents - restriction of liberty or imprisonment for up to five years.

 And while some are thinking about how to avoid punishment, others are making lists of what to take with them to the army…
