A solemn ceremony of taking the Military Oath by new recruits took place on the territory of the 19th Separate Guards Mechanized Nikolaev-Budapest Red Banner Order of Suvorov Brigade, located in the village of Zaslonovo.

  More than 200 soldiers were on the drill ground.

  The most touching and solemn moment was when the servicemen, one by one, uttered: "I, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus, solemnly swear..."

  Dmitry Surovich, Deputy Commander of Troops for Armament – Head of the Armament Department of the North-Western Operational Command, congratulated the new recruits on this important event.

  The deputy chairman of the district executive committee, Nikolay Latyshev, the dean of the Lepel district, Archpriest Sergey Leshkevich, the chairman of the council of the district organisation of the Belarusian Union of Officers, Vitaly Franchuk, and other guests also addressed the new recruits with welcoming words and congratulations.

  After the solemn ceremony, the recruits were awaited by a long-awaited meeting with their families, and the weapons exhibition particularly attracted the attention of children.

  — Army discipline builds character, I am accustomed to the strict routine. I think everything will turn out for the best. I like the service. I believe that every man should do his duty to the Fatherland and always be ready to defend his Motherland! — noted Timofey Klopov from Lepel.
