This was stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko today at the first meeting of the republican organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the sixth All-Belarusian People's Assembly, a BELTA correspondent reports.
"We should ensure the nomination of the most worthy candidates for participation in the assembly, the invitation of constructive foreign guests, as well as leaders of parties and public associations. Different opinions, various views on solving the issues facing the country should be voiced at the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. But all of them should be aimed at making the Republic of Belarus stronger," said Roman Golovchenko.
As the head of government noted, preparations for the event should proceed without excessive bureaucracy. The organizing committee needs to prepare proposals on the date, procedure for holding the assembly, the number of its participants, as well as on the issues planned for discussion.
"The most important moment that needs to be objectively considered is the sanitary and epidemiological situation in our country. It is necessary to develop an optimal solution that will allow this event to be held without risk to the health of citizens," the Prime Minister emphasized.
In his opinion, the holding of the All-Belarusian People's Assembly is "a particularly significant form of people's power for the country." "It is on this platform that the constitutional right of citizens of our country to participate in the discussion of state and public life is most fully realized. This is a truly important event that will largely determine the strategic directions of socio-economic development of Belarus for the upcoming five-year period," noted Roman Golovchenko.
