Equip your bicycle with lights.
When riding a bicycle, wear bright clothing – you should be clearly visible on the road, especially after dark.
Cyclists should ride as close to the roadside as possible, but no more than 1 metre from the right edge of the road. Ride carefully on pavements and cycle paths; these are pedestrian areas.
It is forbidden to ride a bicycle while intoxicated.
When riding on roads, you must use hand signals to indicate your intentions to other road users:
right turn – extend your right arm to the side;
left turn – extend your left arm to the side.
Constantly monitor the road situation while riding. Pay special attention to oncoming vehicles at intersections. It is advisable to make eye contact with the driver, which will indicate that they have noticed you.
Even if you are sure you have the right of way, slow down at intersections.
