According to him, 60,790 schoolchildren will have the opportunity to rest and improve their health for at least six days in day camps. Funding for these purposes has been allocated at a rate of Br30,950 per bed-day. Health, cultural, and sports activities are traditionally organised in the camps.
Based on regional applications, 7,000 schoolchildren will rest in day camps in the Brest region during the winter holidays, 11,000 in the Vitebsk region, 9,770 in the Gomel region, 4,635 in the Grodno region, 9,442 in the Minsk region, 9,263 in the Mogilev region, and 9,680 schoolchildren in Minsk.
In addition, a specialised camp will open in Borisov (Minsk region), where 50 children will combine recreation with tourism and local history activities for nine days. Br520,000 will be allocated per child from state social insurance funds.
The camps will operate from December 28, 2014, to January 11, 2015 (the exact dates will be determined locally), Gennady Bolbatovsky added.
