Taking into account the established and predicted adverse weather conditions in most regions over the weekend, the State Automobile Inspectorate will organise round-the-clock monitoring of the condition of the country's streets and roads. Inspectors will oversee the timely performance of snow removal and road surface treatment works by road and utility services.
Given the current road situation, drivers should adopt a restrained driving style and a safe speed, taking into account the road surface condition and visibility, maintain a safe distance and side clearance. Exercise particular caution when passing pedestrian crossings, especially when turning. Avoid unnecessary lane changes, overtakes and passing manoeuvres.
Due to possible fog and precipitation, be prepared for pedestrians walking along the edge of the carriageway on rural roads to be insufficiently visible. When transporting children under 12 years of age, do not forget to use a child seat or booster seat!
