Exceeding the established speed limit is one of the causes of road traffic accidents. Every driver is obliged to choose a speed set by road signs and the Traffic Regulations, but at the same time remember that the permitted speed may not always be safe! Particular caution when choosing a speed regime must be exercised when turning, making a U-turn, or reversing, as well as in poor visibility conditions (dense fog, heavy rain). It is worth knowing that an incorrect choice of speed when driving on turns or road curves is one of the main causes of traffic accidents such as rollovers, hitting obstacles, or collisions with vehicles moving in the same or opposite direction. The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds drivers that exceeding the speed limit by more than 20 km/h repeatedly within one year after an administrative penalty entails a fine of 5 to 15 base units or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to one year. The State Automobile Inspectorate urges drivers to choose safe speed regimes! Remember, high speed can lead to a great tragedy.
