The recruitment of volunteers for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will begin on July 10, as reported to BELTA correspondent by Alexandra Goncharova, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Public Association "Belarusian Republican Youth Union".

The BRSM invites responsible, communicative, and friendly young men and women to take part in the volunteer movement's "Kind Heart" campaign to assist the Belarusian Television and Radio Company in preparing and holding the international contest. "Any young person aged 18 to 31 can apply to become a volunteer. The main requirements are an active life position, fluent spoken English, and knowledge of several foreign languages is welcomed," noted Alexandra Goncharova.

Candidates will be selected until August 12 through questionnaires and interviews. The application form must be completed and sent to the email address dobroeserdcerb@gmail.com by August 4 inclusive. The application form will be available on the BRSM website and in the "Volunteers of Belarus" group on the VKontakte social network from July 10. "Candidates will undergo interviews in early August. The best among them will be recommended for volunteer work. The final decision on who will join the volunteer team will be made by the Belarusian Television and Radio Company. A total of 100 vacancies are open. Volunteers will work with foreign delegations arriving in Belarus to participate in the contest events, as well as with technical and creative staff," clarified the Secretary of the BRCM Central Committee.

She recalled that the BRSM already has experience working at events of this level. Union activists have previously worked in the capital's information centers, hotels, and the fan village during the 2014 World Hockey Championship, provided assistance during the 2015 European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Minsk, and were involved in the events of the 45th General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees.

The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be held in Belarus on November 25. The Belarusian Television and Radio Company, as the country's sole member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), acts as the organizer and coordinator of all events for the music project.
