All territories must be tidied up and made beautiful. This is the main task for improvement that the President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, sees, he stated during his visit to the Minsk City Technopark, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The Head of State drew the attention of officials to construction in and around Minsk, for which many unused plots of land can be utilized. "Beyond the ring road, within the ring road, there are many such patches of one and a half to two hectares. They must be developed intelligently," he said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko explained that infrastructure needs to be brought to such sites, roads built, and plots divided. "People will gladly buy them. This is in Minsk," the President is confident.
In this regard, he gave a number of specific instructions and scaled up the task in general within the framework of the country's ongoing improvement efforts. "So that we don't have a situation where it's nice, clean, and tidy in the centre, or somewhere else. But there are land plots... We need to make it beautiful. This is the essence of improvement. Everywhere. In villages, everywhere. It seems like something reasonable and beautiful – they've thrown it into the mud and we walk around rejoicing. We need to tidy all of this up," Aleksandr Lukashenko instructed.
As BELTA reported, the current year in Belarus has been declared the Year of Improvement.
