On August 30, Novopolotsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. By the end of the year, Naftan OJSC plans to process 10.7 million tons of oil. Profits will be directed towards the implementation of investment projects. This was announced today to journalists by the general director of the enterprise, Vladimir Tretyakov, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
"Naftan is provided with oil feedstock, production capacities are almost fully loaded, a clear working rhythm of all its divisions is maintained, and tasks to meet the needs of the domestic market with petroleum products and ship products for export are successfully being resolved," emphasized the general director.
Currently, Naftan OJSC is completing the scheduled overhaul of the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit. The AVT-6 primary oil refining unit is the main technological facility of Naftan OJSC and one of the largest atmospheric vacuum tube furnaces in Europe. It has been in operation for over 40 years. Restoring the operational resource of the unit, which has operated for three years after the previous overhaul in accordance with technological standards, is the main task of the entire repair campaign in 2011. The further fulfillment of the enterprise's production program depends on its successful resolution, noted Vladimir Tretyakov. Along with the plant's flagship, two-thirds of the units of the plant's main production are stopped for repair: hydrotreating, reforming, the complex for the production of aromatic hydrocarbons, the "Visbreaking" unit, the isomerization unit, and the sulfuric acid production.
The overhaul of AVT-6 includes the replacement of the K-1 column condensation scheme to increase product yield, and seven pumps designed for pumping fuel oil and atmospheric gas oil at temperatures above 300 degrees Celsius. The internal devices of the K-8 column will be replaced, the oil feed pipeline to the unit will be updated, the atmospheric gas oil and diesel fuel output scheme will be modernized, and the technological reconnection of refrigeration equipment and air coolers will be carried out. Changes to the feedstock supply and heating scheme are planned to eliminate vibration, as well as to the scheme for connecting oil heating heat exchange equipment. All this will help solve issues of energy saving and quality, and improve the reliability of the unit's operation. A fire-fighting irrigation scheme for the columns is being installed.
The repair, which began on August 18, is planned to be completed within one month. To shorten the repair period, preparations for it began in advance, back in 2010: installation blanks were ordered and manufactured, and the assembly of some units and apparatuses was carried out in a consolidated manner. From 900 to 1200 people are involved in the modernization and repair of the AVT-6 unit on peak days. Not only specialized divisions of Naftan OJSC are involved in the repair, but also contractors from Novopolotsk, Minsk, Mogilev, Grodno, and Gomel. During the repair work on AVT-6, primary oil refining at Naftan OJSC is carried out at the AVT-2 unit.
In 2010, the enterprise processed 10.7 million tons of oil feedstock. Oil is supplied to the plant from the Russian Federation mainly through the Druzhba pipeline, as well as by rail transport. -0-
