On September 27, Minsk /Anna Kot - BELTA/. The launch of the Penex low-temperature isomerization unit is expected to enable Naftan OJSC to increase the output of high-octane gasoline by 280 thousand tons per year, according to preliminary calculations. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Belneftekhim concern.
Following the completion of repair work on its main facilities, the Novopolotsk enterprise is continuing commissioning operations at the Penex low-temperature isomerization unit, where a high-octane component for Euro-4 and Euro-5 environmental class gasolines will be produced. The planned date for obtaining the first product is November 2011.
By the end of the current year, it is planned to complete the construction and commissioning of not only the Penex low-temperature isomerization unit but also the vacuum unit of the Visbreaking unit, as well as to complete the reconstruction of the №1 circulating water supply unit. This will ensure the production of high-octane gasoline components, deepen oil refining, and modernize auxiliary production facilities.
Since September 18, 2011, Naftan has been operating in a normal technological mode after the planned capital repair of the AVT-6 primary oil refining unit was completed within the scheduled timeframe.
During the repair period, technological schemes were modernized with the installation of new-generation air coolers. Pumps for pumping fuel oil and atmospheric gas oil at temperatures exceeding 300 degrees Celsius were replaced. Internal devices of the columns were updated. A new oil supply pipeline to the unit was laid. The scheme for the withdrawal of atmospheric gas oil and diesel fuel was modernized. Technological re-piping of refrigeration equipment and air cooling apparatus, as well as heat exchange equipment of the atmospheric unit, was carried out.
"The work carried out has not only increased the yield of light petroleum products but also reduced energy consumption per unit of production and improved the reliability of the AVT-6 unit," emphasized the Belneftekhim concern.
JSC "Naftan" (Novopolotsk) is a fuel, oil, and aromatic products enterprise, manufacturing approximately 70 types of certified commercial products, including "Normal-80", AI-92, and AI-95 automotive gasolines, diesel fuels, jet fuel, boiler fuels, fuel oils, lubricating oils, petroleum bitumens, and solvents, as well as individual aromatic hydrocarbons. The entire volume of diesel fuel is produced in accordance with Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards. The Novopolotsk oil refinery was commissioned in 1963.
