9 June, Grodno /Elena Stasyukevich - BELTA/. The tax system should be aimed at creating equal conditions for all economic entities. This opinion was expressed today by the Chairman of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives on Budget, Finance and Tax Policy, Alexander Antonenko, during an off-site meeting of the Commission in Grodno, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
The agenda of the meeting includes discussion of proposed amendments to the Tax Code, as well as changes in budget and accounting policies within the framework of economic liberalization. The performance of enterprises in the current economic conditions is also being discussed, in particular, the positive experience of a number of enterprises in the Grodno region.
According to the parliamentarian, the country's tax and financial systems should stimulate enterprises to develop, maintain proportions, and level out fluctuations that naturally arise in the economic process. "With timely and correct amendments to the legislation, we must stimulate the economy and continue to develop," noted Alexander Antonenko. To this end, a number of documents are being prepared aimed at boosting product exports, improving tax legislation to make it most attractive to domestic and foreign investors, while also preventing budget losses.
At the off-site meeting, specific measures for adjusting the tax system are being discussed by parliamentarians and representatives of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, together with practitioners. Participants of the two-day off-site meeting will visit FEZ "Grodnoinvest", SOOO "Zov-LenEuroMebel", OJSC "Grodno Meat Processing Plant" and "SlonimMebel".-0-
