On December 20, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Tax authorities seized "grey" footwear worth almost Br350 million from a shop in Vitebsk, the press service of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent.
The footwear was arrested and seized by the Ministry of Taxes and Duties inspectorate for the Zheleznodorozhny district of Vitebsk during control measures. The operational control measures department focused on a private trading unitary enterprise engaged in retail trade of clothing and footwear in one of the shops in the regional centre. Here, facts of accepting cash without a cash register and the absence of a payment terminal were established. Furthermore, the footwear offered for sale, in violation of current legislation, was not marked with control stamps.
During an unscheduled operational thematic inspection, these facts were confirmed. Following the inspection, over 1.7 thousand pairs of footwear, with a total value of approximately Br350 million, were arrested and seized. The inspection materials will be sent to the economic court for a decision. In accordance with Article 12.35 of the Code of Administrative Offences, liability is provided in the form of a fine of up to 20 basic units (basic unit - Br100 thousand) with or without confiscation of the subject of the administrative offence.
In addition, during the inspection, it was established that the organisation accepted cash in the amount of Br12 million as payment for goods without using a cash register, which is also an administrative offence.-0-
