On May 14, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Tax inspectorates in the Vitebsk region have removed excisable goods worth over Br900 million from illegal circulation in four months, the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus for the Vitebsk region informed a BELTA correspondent. During control measures carried out in January-April, 170 violations of legislation regulating the production and circulation of excisable goods were identified. 4.1 thousand liters of alcoholic, non-food alcohol-containing products, over 4 million pieces of tobacco products, 650 liters of petroleum products, 579 liters of malt beer, and 9.5 thousand liters of other excisable goods were seized from illegal circulation. The total value of the seized excisable goods amounted to Br919 million. Excisable goods worth Br432 million were converted into state revenue. Compared to the same period last year, the volume of seized alcoholic, non-food alcohol-containing products in kind increased 2.2 times, and tobacco - 29 times. According to tax inspectors, such a significant increase is due to the intensified activities of individuals who used the price disparity for excisable goods in Belarus and Russia for personal enrichment. Based on the results of inspections, business entities engaged in the production and circulation of excisable goods are required to pay an additional Br274 million in taxes to the budget. Judicial and tax authorities, based on inspection materials, brought 46 business entities and 91 individuals to administrative responsibility. The amount of administrative fines was Br154 million. -0-
