Tax authorities of the Vitebsk region detected 17 cases of "envelope" wage payments in the first quarter of the current year, the BELTA correspondent was informed by the press center of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for the Vitebsk region. Both commercial entities and individual entrepreneurs were guilty of paying wages without concluding written agreements or without reflecting them in accounting records. Br29 million was additionally accrued to the budget, including Br20 million in income tax. Administrative fines totaling Br3 million were imposed on the violating tax agents. In addition, tax inspectors are constantly working to identify individuals whose expenses exceed their official income. During control measures in the first quarter, declarations of income and property were requested from 40 managers and founders of organizations, individual entrepreneurs, their close relatives, as well as employees. As a result, Br47 million in income tax was additionally accrued. In 2011, tax authorities detected 55 cases of "envelope" wage payments. An additional Br49.3 million was received by the budget, including Br35 million in income tax. Violators were fined Br6.1 million. Last year, 120 declarations were requested. For 96 audited cases, Br90 million in income tax was additionally accrued. -0-
