9 November, Minsk /BELTA/. Tax services of Belarus and Kazakhstan will exchange information on income of organisations and citizens related to their investment activities, as well as on citizens' income under employment contracts. This was reported to BELTA by the press service of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties, commenting on the relevant protocol signed today in Astana.
This document introduces amendments and additions to the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Kazakhstan on cooperation and mutual assistance on tax legislation compliance dated 22 May 2000. The protocol was signed by the Minister of Taxes and Duties Vladimir Poluyan on the Belarusian side, and by the Minister of Finance Bolat Zhamishev on the Kazakh side.
The protocol provides for an initiative, i.e. without a request, exchange of information between tax services regarding income received by organisations and citizens in connection with their investment activities, as well as citizens' income under employment contracts. Data submission will be carried out bypassing central tax authorities. This will enable prompt receipt of information necessary for the daily work of territorial tax inspectorates.
To improve the information exchange process, the protocol provides for the use of electronic document management. The protocol will enter into force from the date of the last notification by the parties of the completion of internal procedures necessary for its entry into force. -0-
