On June 8, Mogilev / Sergey Kulyagin - BELTA /. Social support will be provided to population groups with fixed incomes. This was stated today to journalists by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Alexander Radkov, who is on a working visit to Mogilev, BELTA correspondent reports. Alexander Radkov familiarized himself with the work of the Mogilev Metallurgical Plant, and also visited retail chain facilities. In his opinion, in today's difficult economic situation, it is necessary to support, first of all, those population groups with fixed incomes – pensioners, students, large families. Support will be provided through the use of discount systems in trade, reduction of trade markups on socially significant goods, payment of one-time benefits, opening of social stores, etc. In Mogilev, a similar loyalty system is already in place, and similar work is being carried out throughout the republic. "The government is currently taking all necessary measures to ensure a reasonable balance so that the economy develops and vulnerable population groups do not suffer. An example here can be CJSC "Atlant", which operates around the clock, supplying products for Belarusian consumers and maximally meeting the demands of its foreign partners. Working only for the Belarusian market, the enterprise would lose the currency necessary for the country," explained Alexander Radkov. -0-
