As part of the nationwide New Year's campaign "Our Children," a celebration titled "Let's Decorate the New Year Together!" was held at the Vitebsk Cadet School, during which honorary diplomas were awarded to teachers and New Year's gifts were presented to the students of the Vitebsk Cadet School.
As noted by Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, any holiday is a wonderful opportunity to thank those people thanks to whom the education system, economy, agriculture, and other spheres of activity are developing in Belarus.
– We are proud that this year the Vitebsk Cadet School was recognized as the best in the cadet education system of Belarus. It has a wonderful teaching staff and leadership. The students and graduates of this educational institution are true patriots. Many of them put on officer's shoulder straps, and those who remain in civil service become excellent specialists, – emphasized Vladimir Terentyev. – Today is a wonderful occasion to express words of gratitude to the teachers and meet with the cadets of our school, wish them a Happy New Year, good health, fulfillment of cherished desires, and, most importantly, peaceful skies above their heads.
During the festive New Year's concert, Vladimir Terentyev presented an Honorary Diploma of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to Alexander Grigoryev, a history and social studies teacher, and also awarded Yuri Grigorovsky, the music director, and Ekaterina Soldatenko, an additional education teacher, with honorary diplomas of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies.
Also on this day, New Year's gifts were presented to the cadets by the school's board of trustees.
