As noted by Vladimir Terentyev, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies, such meetings are very important as they allow for learning about people's problems and needs firsthand and taking constructive measures for their consideration.
In particular, Yuri Mily, Chairman of the District Trade Union Association, noted the need to provide sanatorium and resort vouchers to members of work collectives at more affordable prices. This issue is particularly relevant at the present time, during the pandemic. While the trade union provides a 25% discount, even in such a case, a voucher would cost around 700 rubles. Not every citizen can afford such health improvement.
Yuri Mily also appealed to the Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies to assist in the construction of a swimming pool in Lepel. The issue is very relevant, as many employees of work collectives regularly visit the swimming pool in Ushachi. Vladimir Terentyev noted that the issues raised will definitely be taken under control.
Viktor Tereshchenko, Chairman of the Lepel District Organization of the Communist Party of Belarus, inquired about Vladimir Terentyev's opinion on the importance of the party organization's work in the future. Vladimir Terentyev unequivocally replied that the Communist Party of Belarus has great development potential, as there are many promising, responsible specialists working throughout the country and in the Vitebsk region in particular, who are capable of competently organizing the production process and work with enthusiasm and initiative.
Rimantas Stripeikis, Chairman of the Lepel District Organization of OSVOD, drew attention to the sad statistics. If in 2020, 2 children drowned in the Vitebsk region, then in the 10 months of the current year – 9. There are 144 lakes and 21 rivers on the territory of the Lepel district. At the same time, there are only 5 rescuers on staff. For this reason, the issue of building a rescue station
stations that could operate more broadly. It is also important to toughen the responsibility of citizens for violating the rules of conduct on water in places of mass recreation, as some beachgoers simply ignore them.Vladimir Terentyev promised to study the issues that arose in detail with representatives of several services.
As Marina Novitskaya, Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work, Culture and Youth Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, noted at the end of the meeting, the initiative to consider all important issues should come from the people themselves. Only in this way can problems be solved more promptly and constructively. A meeting of the competition commission for the nomination of youth initiatives was held in Minsk. Out of 116 applications submitted, 16 passed the selection in the first reading. It is pleasant to note that one of them is from the youth aktiv of Lepel region. This means that successful youth study and work in the region. It is they who will have to build our future.
