Focus on Lepel District Agricultural Enterprises.

Natalia Kochanova familiarised herself with the activities of OJSC "LepelAgroService". The enterprise specialises in dairy production, cattle breeding, grain production, and fertiliser sales. It also provides transport services, as well as vehicle maintenance and repair. Natalia Kochanova spoke with the machine operators, inquiring about working conditions and wages. During the site inspection, the Speaker drew attention to the need for tidiness both outdoors and indoors.

The next stop was the "Lyadno" dairy farm. Here, the key issue for the farm was raised: the necessity of constructing a new dairy complex. The current premises have been in operation since 1969 and are morally and technically obsolete. However, Natalia Kochanova positively assessed the ongoing construction of a calf nursery. The closest attention is currently paid to young stock, the quality of their housing, especially during the cold winter period, and their adequate nutrition.

The itinerary included the agricultural enterprise "Lepelskoye" and its "Tselina" dairy complex. Natalia Kochanova communicated with specialists and learned about the technological process: from transferring calves from the nursery to growing-on to the housing of the main herd. While inspecting the farm, the Speaker noted both positive aspects, such as modern calf houses, and problematic ones. The shortcomings of the metal structures built in 2013, which get very cold in winter, were discussed. There is a need to construct new, more spacious calf houses with improved ventilation and the possibility for specialised machinery access for cleaning.

Natalia Kochanova noted: "Without order, there will be no production. Order must prevail in everything – from conditions for people to equipment provision and the implementation of modern standards in animal husbandry."

Work to establish this order has already begun, and the leadership of Lepel District has received comprehensive guidelines for future operations.
