This was announced by the Chairperson of the National Bank's Board, Nadezhda Ermakova, in the House of Representatives, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. "The National Bank is not yet working on this issue. We believe that it is premature to talk about it in 2012. The main task this year is to cope with inflation, to halt its growth at least to the level defined by the main directions of economic development and monetary policy for this year. During periods of high inflation, one cannot deal with other issues. And there is no urgent need to carry out denomination in 2012," said Nadezhda Ermakova. "However, considering the growth of population incomes, the increase in the amount of money, the growth of the Belarusian economy and the increase in production, we believe that somewhere in 2013 we can start talking about it, start thinking about it, and possibly, during 2013, prepare for denomination. This is serious work. Including the new money must be prepared," noted the head of the National Bank.
