28 September, Minsk /Anna Kot - BELTA/. The National Bank of Belarus expects the refinancing rate to decrease to 25-26% per annum by the end of 2012. This was stated by the Chairperson of the Board of the National Bank, Nadezhda Ermakova, during a live broadcast with the newspaper "Zvyazda", according to a BELTA correspondent. Speaking about what the refinancing rate will be in the last days of December, the head of the National Bank noted: "It is expected that it will not exceed 25-26% per annum." At the same time, according to Nadezhda Ermakova, the refinancing rate will not fall below this level before the end of the current year. "The refinancing rate is determined based on the inflation rate. Today's price growth rates do not allow us to count on a more significant decrease in the refinancing rate," she said. According to the expectations of the National Bank of Belarus, expressed on 24 September, the inflation rate is expected to be within the projected 22% by the end of 2012. For eight months, inflation was 14.6%. In accordance with the Main Directions of Monetary Policy of Belarus, the refinancing rate is projected at 13-15% per annum by the end of 2013 (with a consumer price increase of 12%).-0-
