22 July, Minsk /BELTA/. The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus is increasing the rates on operations to support the current liquidity of banks from 22 July. BELTA was informed about this at the National Bank.
The corresponding decision was made by the Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank.
The rates on standing facilities for supporting the current liquidity of banks, as well as the rates on bilateral operations for supporting the current liquidity of banks, will be increased to 40% per annum. From 1 July, the rates on standing facilities for supporting the current liquidity of banks have been 35% per annum. The rates on bilateral operations for supporting the current liquidity of banks are currently at 29% per annum.
The rates on standing facilities for withdrawing liquidity from banks remain unchanged at 20% per annum. They were increased from 17% to 20% per annum on 1 July.
The refinancing rate of the National Bank has decreased by 1.5 percentage points since 10 June and is 23.5%. In July, the National Bank does not intend to change the refinancing rate.-0-
