On October 19, Vitebsk / Sergey Kotov - BELTA /. Socio-psychological problems of modern society and individuals, as well as ways to solve them, will be discussed at an international scientific and practical conference, which will be held on October 20-21 at the Vitebsk State University named after P. Masherov. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Head of the Department of Social Pedagogy of the university, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Anna Orlova. More than 130 scientists, postgraduate students, educators, psychologists, and social work specialists from Russia, Ukraine, Poland, and Belarus will take part in the scientific forum. Among the participants will be 13 Doctors of Sciences and 90 Candidates of Sciences and research associates, representing 25 universities from all Belarusian regions, as well as almost 10 regions of other participating countries. The specialists' attention will focus on issues of formation and substantive aspects of the state's social policy, social stratification and ensuring social mobility, problems of education, and culture in the context of human potential development. During the scientific and practical forum, current problems of social work, professional training of specialists in the social sphere, educators, and psychologists will be considered. In addition, conference participants will discuss the problems of psychological safety as one of the significant tasks of the state's social policy, including issues of organizing psychological support for the younger generation, and the role of psychology in solving social problems of society. It is planned that the conference results will outline promising areas for cooperation between representatives of universities from participating countries on the forum's theme. The conference work will be organized in sections: "Priority Directions for the Development of Education and Culture," "Socio-Psychological Problems of Modernity," and "Current Problems of Practical Psychology." The main goal of the conference is to identify current socio-psychological problems of society and individuals, as well as to find ways to solve them. A collection of scientific articles by forum participants has been published by the start of the conference. The event is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Faculty of Social Pedagogy and Psychology of VSU. The conference is organized by Vitebsk State University, the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogy (Moscow), and the Crimean Humanitarian University (Yalta) with the support of the Committee for Labor, Employment, and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.-0-
