Belarus and Saudi Arabia will work on holding a meeting of the joint intergovernmental committee.

On December 15, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Vladimir Makei, met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to Russia and Belarus concurrently, Abdulrahman Suleiman Al-Ahmad, on the occasion of the presentation of his copies of credentials. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Belarusian foreign affairs agency.

Current issues of bilateral relations in the political, trade, and economic spheres were also discussed at the meeting.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia confirmed their interest in enhancing Belarusian-Saudi cooperation, including the exchange of visits by official and business delegations and the preparation for the next meeting of the joint intergovernmental committee.

Vladimir Makei wished the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia active and fruitful work in Belarus.
