Belarus and the USA have many areas for cooperation where their interests align. This was stated to journalists by Oleg Kravchenko, who was today appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the USA, in response to a question from a BELTA correspondent.
"Among the areas where our interests align are, first and foremost, interaction in attracting financial resources, economic and energy dialogue, international security, and law enforcement cooperation," stressed Oleg Kravchenko.
"The fact that we belong to different military-political blocs does not preclude, but rather determines the need for contacts between the military," the ambassador is convinced.
At the same time, he noted: "Undoubtedly, we do not agree on everything, therefore, dialogue on issues where our positions currently differ will remain an important element of our bilateral relations."
"I would like us to reach a level of normalization of our relations that could be assessed as stable," concluded Oleg Kravchenko.
