Belarus and Hungary have agreed to develop a cooperation agreement in the field of personnel training for agricultural sectors, establish cooperation between agricultural universities, and create a working group for cooperation in agriculture. These agreements were reached during the visit of a delegation of representatives of agro-industrial complex enterprises, led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Igor Brylo, to Hungary, as reported to BELTA by the Embassy of Belarus in Hungary.
Belarus and Hungary have agreed to develop a cooperation agreement in the field of personnel training for agricultural sectors, establish cooperation between agricultural universities, and create a working group for cooperation in agriculture. These agreements were reached during the visit of a delegation of representatives of agro-industrial complex enterprises, led by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Igor Brylo, to Hungary, as reported to BELTA by the Embassy of Belarus in Hungary.
During the visit, meetings were held with the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Hungary, Sándor Farkas, and the Deputy Regional Representative of the FAO for Europe and Central Asia, Nabil Gangi. The delegation visited the Babolna TETRA Kft. poultry farms and held negotiations with the company's management. The main objective of the negotiations was to adopt advanced Hungarian experience in establishing a breeding and genetic centre for breeding laying hens and constructing a goose-fattening plant. "This is beneficial for Belarus as it will enable us to create our own poultry cross within a few years, which will contribute to import substitution and the creation of new jobs. The responsible approach of the Hungarian side to fulfilling the agreements reached at the highest level was confirmed by the presence of the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Hungary, András Baranyi, at the negotiations," the embassy noted.
Delegation members visited plants for the production of premixes and feed additives, dairy, fruit and berry processing plants, held negotiations at the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency (HEPA), as well as with a number of agricultural businessmen. At the meetings, the parties' vision for the development of bilateral relations in the field of pedigree poultry farming was discussed in detail. They exchanged views on innovative approaches and developments used in poultry farming, animal husbandry, breeding work, on the development of the processing industry, as well as current models and opportunities for supporting export-oriented agricultural business.
The participants of the negotiations confirmed their mutual intention to continue mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of scientific and research activities, and expressed their readiness to exchange information on issues of the agro-industrial complex and relevant technical documentation.
