The official ceremony of presenting credentials by the Permanent Representative of Belarus to international organizations in Vienna, Andrei Dapkiunas, to the Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Li Yong, took place in the Austrian capital on September 22. During the conversation with the head of the secretariat, Andrei Dapkiunas emphasized the importance of UNIDO's activities in promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development, digitalization of production, and leveraging the potential of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

In addition, the Belarusian diplomat noted the successful implementation of a regional cooperation program involving the Belarusian Center for Resource-Efficient and Cleaner Production. Andrei Dapkiunas welcomed the imminent launch in Belarus of a new technical cooperation project in the field of smart manufacturing.

The parties also agreed to sign an updated framework cooperation program between Belarus and UNIDO in the near future.
