In accordance with the "Fire Safety Rules of the Republic of Belarus for Fairs and Markets," the sale of flammable liquids and combustible gases (paints, solvents, gas cylinders, household chemicals, except in specially designated areas), ammunition, and pyrotechnic products is prohibited within their territories and in trading stalls, tents, kiosks, and trailers. The State Fire Supervision Inspectorate conducts raids to identify points of sale for such products and to hold violators strictly accountable with substantial fines and even revocation of retail trade licenses.
Children eagerly await the New Year holidays. It is up to adults to ensure that the New Year is not overshadowed by anything. A special responsibility in this regard rests with the heads and employees of children's institutions. Therefore, when preparing for such a mass event, a detailed plan of specific actions to ensure children's safety must first be developed and strictly implemented. All service personnel must be instructed on fire safety measures.
The premises where the celebration takes place must have at least two exits, equipped with doors that open outwards. The number of places at the celebration is determined based on at least 0.75 square meters per person. Corridors, passages, and exits from the building intended for evacuation of people must be clear and not cluttered with items or various equipment. Doors can only be closed with easily openable latches. There should be no grilles on window openings. The Christmas tree must be installed on a stable stand, with its branches located at least one meter from walls and ceiling. Decorating the tree with toys made of flammable materials and using candles for its illumination is not permitted. Electric garlands must be of factory production. Children should not be allowed to play near the Christmas tree in costumes made of paper, cotton wool, or gauze not impregnated with fire-retardant compounds.
