From the 5th to the 15th of August of the current year, the Lepel Department of Internal Affairs is conducting a special comprehensive event called "Byt" (Domestic Sphere).
As practice shows, crimes committed during domestic disputes and conflicts often surpass premeditated criminal actions in their cruelty and the severity of their consequences. Every third murder and every fourth intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm occur within the sphere of family and domestic relations.
Practically every fifth person who dies from external causes perishes from accidental alcohol poisoning, and every eighth from traffic accidents.
Drunkenness is one of the most negative social phenomena in society; it leads to family hardship, causes great damage to the institution of the family, hinders the full development of minors, and also negatively affects the crime situation, in some cases leading to tragic consequences.
Eight children were removed from six families. After the situation improved, six children were returned to three families for upbringing.
Over seven months, six residents of our district died from accidental alcohol poisoning, compared to five during the same period last year.
Do not be indifferent to the troubles of others!
