With the aim of drawing attention to the problem of children’s mischief with fire and child fatalities in fires, reducing the number of emergencies involving children, and ensuring their overall safety (at home, outdoors, during recreation, at water bodies, etc.), a preventive campaign "Do Not Leave Children Unattended!" will be held in Lepel District from May 12 to June 3, timed to coincide with the International Day of Families and International Children's Day. The summer holidays are approaching. Children not occupied with school often remain unattended by parents, left to their own devices, which can pose a threat to their lives and health. The campaign will be held in 3 stages. During the first stage, Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) officers will visit large families to install autonomous fire alarms. During the second stage, rescuers will speak at parent-teacher meetings in preschool institutions and primary grades of general education institutions, and will conduct classes for expectant mothers at the "Maternity School" of the Healthcare Institution "Lepel Central District Hospital". Excursions to the fire and rescue station are planned for children, where they will be told about the basic rules of safe behaviour. The campaign will conclude on June 3, International Children's Day. The participation of officers in the celebration, traditionally organised in the city park, is planned. The programme includes an exhibition of fire and rescue equipment and a sports and entertainment event "Rescuers, Go!".
