With the aim of drawing attention to the problem of children’s mischief with fire and child fatalities in fires, reducing the number of emergencies involving children, and ensuring their overall safety (at home, outdoors, during recreation, near water bodies, etc.), a preventive campaign "Do Not Leave Children Unattended!" will be held in Lepel district from May 11 to June 1, timed to coincide with the International Day of Families and Children's Protection Day. The summer holidays are approaching. Children not occupied with school often remain without parental attention, left to their own devices, which can pose a threat to their lives and health. The campaign will be held in 4 stages. The first stage will take place at the "Mix" shopping center, where employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will conduct preventive talks with vendors, explain the rules of conduct and actions in case of a fire, as well as the rules for using fire extinguishers.

In the second stage, rescuers will speak at parent-teacher meetings in preschool institutions and primary classes of general education institutions, and will conduct classes with expectant mothers at the "Maternity School" at the Healthcare Institution "Lepel Central District Hospital". In the third stage, rescuers will visit large families where they will install autonomous fire detectors. Excursions to the fire and rescue station are also planned for children, where they will be told about the basic rules of safe behavior. The campaign will conclude on June 1, International Children's Protection Day. Employees are scheduled to participate in the celebration traditionally organized in the city park. The program includes an exhibition of fire and rescue equipment, and a sports and entertainment event "Rescuers, Forward!".
