On November 14, the first stage of the republican campaign "Don't Burn Your Life Away!" was launched in Lepel District. Participants in this campaign included activists from the district branch of the Belarusian Youth Public Association of Fire Rescuers and the inspector of the propaganda and public relations group, Aleksandr Sadovskiy. From the Lepel railway station, along bus route No. 5, the young people set off during lunchtime to inform people about the dangers of smoking in bed. The schoolchildren spoke to residents about the number of fires and fatalities caused by this harmful habit, and tried to convince them that smoking not only harms health but can also lead to people's deaths. It is worth noting that adults willingly engaged in dialogue with the students, carefully studied the visual materials they received, and the young rescuers, in turn, were pleased to hear from the townspeople that they were doing useful work – promoting life safety.
