"Don't forget to turn on your headlights." The traffic police's special event "Attention – Children!" has started in Belarus.

In Belarus, the special comprehensive traffic police event "Attention — Children!" started on August 25.

The event will last until September 5. Its aim is to prevent road traffic accidents involving children and to increase the vigilance of drivers and parents.

During this period, vehicles must travel with their low beam headlights switched on during daylight hours.

In addition, during this period, traffic police officers will conduct preventive campaigns for children and parents, as well as raid operations to suppress traffic rule violations. Attention will be paid to compliance with the established speed limits, rules for the safe transportation of children, and for passing pedestrian crossings. The State Automobile Inspectorate will pay special attention to creating safe conditions for children to travel along the "home — school — home" route.
