Cybersecurity Week to launch in Belarus on November 24

According to the department, a positive trend has emerged in the country this year: for the first time in recent years, the level of cybercrime has started to decline.

In January-October, the number of such crimes decreased by 9%. At the same time, law enforcement agencies note that new digital threats continue to evolve, so citizens should not let their guard down.

To protect citizens in the digital space, a nationwide preventive campaign "Cybersecurity Week" will be held in the country from November 24 to 30.

It is aimed at raising public awareness of new fraud schemes and fostering a culture of safe online behaviour.

Special attention will be paid to combating telephone and online fraud, as well as preventing the involvement of citizens, especially young people, in illegal cash-out schemes. The focus will also be on protecting the most vulnerable categories – pensioners and minors.
