The III International Scientific and Practical Forum "Health and Safety in the Workplace" will be held in Novopolotsk on the basis of the Naftan Palace of Culture and at Polotsk State University from May 15-17, organizers informed a BELTA correspondent.
The forum is dedicated to the centenary of the establishment of the International Labour Organization. Scientists and specialists from 14 countries, including Switzerland, Belarus, Italy, Slovenia, the Baltic States, Kazakhstan, and Russia, will take part in its work. Specialists will discuss current issues of occupational medicine and safety, extending active working longevity, stratification of occupational risks for employees, as well as issues of implementing health-saving technologies in the workplace, fire, industrial, and environmental safety.
During the event, a thematic exhibition, a master class, and a competition of scientific research by young scientists from near and far abroad countries will be held. The forum program also includes a practical part with a visit to OJSC "Naftan".
The organizers are the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, the Republican Centre for Occupational Safety, the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, with the participation of the Association of Occupational Medicine Doctors and Specialists, the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "Research Institute of Occupational Medicine of the Russian Federation", and the F.F. Erisman Federal Scientific Centre for Hygiene.
