1 March, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. An illegal consignment of fur animal skins worth Br113 million has been seized at an enterprise in Vitebsk, the Internal Affairs Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
During a set of operational-search activities, law enforcement officers discovered a consignment of fur goods at a commercial enterprise in the city, lacking documents confirming the legality of its acquisition, storage, and use in production. In total, police officers and the tax service seized 250 skins of marten, otter, other fur-bearing animals, and wolf.
An administrative report has been drawn up against the head of the enterprise, who allowed the violation, under Article 12.17 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. An investigation is underway.-0-
