An illegal consignment of cigarettes was detained in Braslav District, the Information and Public Relations Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate informed a BELTA correspondent. Law enforcement officers and servicemen of military unit No. 2034 detained a Volvo V50 car driven by an unemployed resident of Grodno Region, born in 1971, in the urban settlement of Vidzy. He was transporting 6,000 packs of cigarettes marked with Belarusian excise stamps without the relevant documents. The value of the cargo is estimated at Br17 million. An administrative report has been drawn up regarding this fact, and an investigation is underway.-0-
