On September 7, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Illegal cargo of ferrous metal was detained in Rossony district, BELTA correspondent was informed by the information and public relations department of the Internal Affairs Directorate of Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. A "MAZ-5549" truck driven by an unemployed 44-year-old resident of Polotsk district was stopped by traffic police officers on the Ukleenka - Krasnopolye - Russian Federation border highway near the village of Ukleenka. Law enforcement officers found 20 tons of ferrous metal scrap worth Br22.1 million in the truck. The driver could not present the relevant documents for the cargo. An administrative protocol was drawn up against him under Part 1 of Article 12.29 of the Code of Administrative Offences of Belarus. The metal was seized. -0-
