17 August, Minsk /Vitaly Petrovich - BELTA/. A minor is suspected of murdering a watchman of an enterprise in the Shumilino district of the Vitebsk region. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Department of the Investigative Committee of Belarus for the Vitebsk region. The body of a man born in 1953, with incised neck wounds and stab wounds to the chest, was discovered on August 16 in a field near one of the villages in the Shumilino district. The crime scene was examined by an investigative-operational group of employees from the Shumilino District Department of Internal Affairs and the District Department of the Investigative Committee, as well as criminal investigation officers from the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. Within a few hours, as a result of operational actions, the suspect in the murder was detained. He turned out to be a minor local resident. The Shumilino District Department of the Investigative Committee of Belarus has initiated a criminal case based on this fact under Part 1 of Article 139 of the Criminal Code of Belarus ("Murder"). Law enforcement officers are conducting an investigation; necessary examinations have been carried out, witnesses have been interrogated, face-to-face interrogations have been conducted, searches have been performed, and verification of testimony at the scene has been carried out.
