The unfortunate resident of the village of Olshanka, Chashniki District, on Victory Day, May 9th, decided to catch some fish, believing that on this holiday, inspection officers would be celebrating the victory. However, the offender's calculation did not pay off; he was apprehended on Lake Zherinskoye, Chashniki District, by officers of the Lepel Interdistrict Inspection Office for the Protection of Fauna and Flora, who were on duty on the holiday. The poacher was caught red-handed, so to speak. He was found with three fixed fishing nets, and his catch was quite modest: three tench and one golden crucian carp. An administrative report was drawn up against the citizen.

By the decision of the Chashniki District Court, this citizen will have to pay a fine of 540 rubles for his "festive" catch, as well as compensation for environmental damage, which, moreover, is calculated at a triple rate during the closed season and amounted to 1,962 rubles. This is the kind of "gift" the unfortunate poacher gave himself for the holiday.

The Lepel Interdistrict Inspection Office for the Protection of Fauna and Flora (Lepel MRI OZHiRM) reminds once again that people who wish to catch fish in this manner should think very carefully. Is it really worth it for them?
