Illegal logging – felling, removal, or destruction of woody and shrub vegetation without permits; felling of species other than those specified in the logging permit or order; felling exceeding the volume indicated in the logging permit or order (taking into account the permissible deviation of the actually harvested timber volume from that indicated in the logging permit or order, as established by the republican state management body for forestry).
A fine for felling trees without a permit can reach 30 base units in exploitation forests and 50 base units in conservation, recreational, health, and protective forests.
