The Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora reminds that, in accordance with the Forest Code of the Republic of Belarus, the following is recognised:

Illegal logging is the felling, removal, or destruction of tree and shrub vegetation without permits; felling of species other than those specified in the logging permit or order; felling exceeding the volume indicated in the logging permit or order (taking into account the permissible deviation of the actually harvested timber volume from that indicated in the logging permit or order, established by the republican body of state administration for forestry).

A fine for felling trees without a permit can reach 30 basic units in commercial forests and 50 basic units in conservation, recreational, health-improving, and protective forests.

If such tree felling is detected, the Lepel Inter-district Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora requests you to report it by calling 8 (02132) 3-43-85.
