A large quantity of fishing nets and net materials were discovered at the property of a resident of Chashniki town. During the search conducted by state inspectors of the Lepel Inter-district Inspection and officers of the 7th Department of the Main Anti-Corruption and Anti-Organized Crime Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 57 bags of nets were seized.

A large quantity of fishing nets and net materials were discovered at the property of a resident of Chashniki town. During the search conducted by state inspectors of the Lepel Inter-district Inspection and officers of the 7th Department of the Main Anti-Corruption and Anti-Organized Crime Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 57 bags of nets were seized. After recounting and measuring, it was found that the man had stored 180 nets with a total length of almost 13 km, including over a kilometre of new ones. Devices for making net implements were also found in his house.

An administrative process has been initiated under Article 15.36 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus. For storing the nets, the offender has been brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine amounting to 50 base units (1225 rubles). The prohibited fishing gear has been destroyed.
