The general hunt for fur-bearing animals will open on the first Saturday of November, i.e., from November 6 (the first Saturday of November), hunters are permitted to take mountain hare, brown hare, squirrel, pine marten, stone marten, American mink, muskrat, and European polecat.
Hunting for brown hare and mountain hare is permitted during daylight hours by both firearm and non-firearm methods. Firearm hunting for hares is permitted from ambush, by stalking, and by driving. The use of smoothbore hunting firearms with cartridges loaded with shot, as well as hunting dogs of all breeds, is allowed; for non-firearm hunting, sighthounds and hunting birds are permitted.
Firearm hunting for the other fur-bearing animal species listed above is permitted during daylight hours by stalking, including with hunting dogs of all breeds, except hounds and sighthounds. Permitted firearms for hunting include smoothbore hunting shotguns using cartridges loaded with shot, and 5.6 mm calibre rifled hunting weapons. For non-firearm hunting, traps and snares (except nooses) are permitted.
We remind you! When hunting for fur-bearing animals with smoothbore firearms, hunters are prohibited from carrying cartridges loaded with buckshot and bullets. A fine of up to 15 base units is imposed for carrying them, and for repeated violation of this rule, the right to hunt will be revoked.
