"There have been proposals to combine the efforts of the states participating in our union in developing commodity distribution networks. Preliminary study indicates the relevance of this issue for the countries and for the union as a whole," noted Mikhail Myasnikovich.
Referring to data from open sources, the Chairman of the EEC Board stated that more than 55 logistics centers are already operating in Belarus. "And the formation of logistics infrastructure between the EAEU and the European Union at the Sino-Belarusian Industrial Park – a key point of the 'Belt and Road' initiative – has been practically completed," he said. "The creation of 24 wholesale and distribution centers is planned in Kazakhstan. In execution of the decree of the President of Russia, nodal freight multimodal transport and logistics centers will be created in 12 regions of the Russian Federation, in addition to those already existing in the country, with a total capacity of over 50 million tons."
