A set of additional measures aimed at preventing unlawful behaviour of citizens will be carried out in the Lepel district from August 10 to 14 this year. The main objective is to involve broad sections of the population in assisting state bodies in resolving issues of domestic violence and family dysfunction, as well as increasing the effectiveness of preventing unlawful behaviour of citizens, taking comprehensive measures for individual crime prevention, and preventive impact on individuals leading an antisocial lifestyle.
Within the framework of this event, employees of the internal affairs department of the Lepel District Executive Committee and specialists from the Department of Labour and Social Protection, the Department of Education, the Healthcare Institution "Lepel Central District Hospital", the Lepel Regional Emergency Situations Department, as well as various organizations and public associations will inform citizens about the legal norms in force in this area, assistance provided to victims of violence, the operation of helplines, etc.
The Internal Affairs Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee regularly conducts comprehensive measures to prevent domestic violence, as well as to prevent offences and crimes committed while intoxicated. In order to prevent severe consequences of family and domestic conflicts, 15 citizens have been sent to the Therapeutic and Preventive Facility (LTP) over the seven months of this year, including 4 serial domestic offenders.
