Around 40 educational institutions of the region will present their products at the traditional autumn fair "Vosen'ski karahod" in Vitebsk on September 26. This was announced today at a briefing by Dmitry Khoma, Head of the Main Department for Education of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

On this day, the city on the Dvina will host the regional festival of rural workers "Dazhynki", so the always interesting fair of educational institutions will be even more intense and diverse this year. The traditionally wide range of agricultural products grown on school plots, baked goods, and household goods will be complemented by a platform where students of the region's vocational education system will demonstrate their skills and abilities.

"Just yesterday, the results of the IV Republican Skills Competition WorldSkills Belarus were summed up. Vitebsk region has 14 winners. The guys will demonstrate a high level of skill to the fair visitors," noted Dmitry Khoma. "We will also allocate a separate area where various services will be provided to the public. We plan to offer minor repairs of clothing and footwear. The possibility of providing hairdressing and manicure services, among others, is being considered."

In addition, a large number of events with costumed characters, themed areas, and children's play zones, as well as creative performances, are planned.

The fair will be held at the site near the Sports Palace from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

According to Valentin Tsvetkov, First Deputy Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, three additional agricultural fairs will be organized on September 26 to better supply the city's residents with agricultural products. They will be set up in the Bilevo microdistrict, on Proletarskaya Square, and at the intersection of Stroiteley Avenue and Voïnov-Internatsionalistov Street.
