The corresponding Decree No. 360 "On the movement of personal use goods across the customs border of the Customs Union in the Republic of Belarus" was signed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on July 21, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The corresponding Decree No. 360 "On the movement of personal use goods across the customs border of the Customs Union in the Republic of Belarus" was signed by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on July 21, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"In accordance with the decree, the duty-free import limit for personal use goods in international postal items and express delivery items, with a total weight not exceeding 31 kg, is increased to 200 euros," the press service reported.
The State Customs Committee is granted the right, jointly with the State Border Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, to determine the list and quantity of goods that can be classified as personal use goods when crossing simplified checkpoints, as well as to determine the specifics of moving such goods.
Aviation security services are tasked with informing customs officials about the export by individuals of goods prohibited and/or restricted for movement, identified during the control carried out by such services of persons leaving Belarus by air transport.
Carriers engaged in express delivery of items to individuals are granted the right to carry out customs operations on behalf of such individuals without additional contractual relations for goods contained in the items, if such a carrier is also a customs representative.
The State Customs Committee is also granted the right to determine the procedure for issuing permits for the transfer of temporarily imported vehicles to persons other than those who imported such vehicles.
"Furthermore, issues related to providing security for the payment of customs duties and taxes on imported goods for personal use have been resolved, specifically concerning the cases of refunding the security paid for customs duties and taxes, as well as determining the possibility of refunding funds not only in cash from the customs authority's cashier, but also through bank branches, including those located at border crossing points of the Republic of Belarus," the press service noted.
Issues concerning the temporary storage of goods for personal use, imported by individuals relocating to Belarus for permanent residence, have also been resolved.-0-
